About once or twice a year I perform a ceremony to couples who want to re-marry; that have been married to each other before. Have you ever wondered why anyone would marry the same person twice? We hardly wonder why one person agrees to marry another person - we assume they fall in love or that an arrangement has been reached where marriage is the mutually decided upon choice. But when that couple separates and divorces - why would they then marry each other again? There can be any number of reasons why a couple once divorced, may reunite.

Here is a good book on the topic written by a local St Louis author, Patricia Bubash, M.Ed.

This book is very upbeat and offers hope to couples who wonder if second marriages can endure hardships and stay intact. How Formal Is Your Wedding?

The formal bridal party consists of four to twelve attendants; a maid or matron of honor, the best man, bridesmaids, one usher for every fifty guests, one or two flower girls, and a ring bearer. The bride's gown is a work of art, full length, usually with a train and veil. The number of guests is often between 150 and 400.
