County Parks Wedding Sites

The St Louis County Parks and Recreation department has a wedding website. Their parks are great locations for wedding ceremonies and you cannot beat the price! Some locations come with electricity and restrooms, while others are simple for short, sweet and simple ceremonies. I have performed ceremonies as a Wedding Officiant  and I love the versatility that they can provide. Couples need to have nerves of steel as there is usually not a PLAN B or contingency plan in case of bad weather.  Nonetheless, they remain very popular. Below are my favorite photographs that show off the space.  You must contact the County Parks to book the location. Call me if you want my personal opinion on any of these locations as I am an Event Location Specialist. Rainy and New

Two weddings in one day - both have unique moments.  The first was at noon at Mount Pleasant Winery in Augusta.  The bride and groom were planning a nice event outside - if only it wasn't raining.  At the time, the staff at the winery was not prepared with a contingency plan and the couple was clue-less as well. We decided to have it under a tent that was set up on a terrace deck.  Staff scrambled to set up chairs, an extension cord for a CD player, and beverages afterwards. Once we were ready, a young adult started to sing the infamous song, "At Last" using karaoke.  It was sweet to say the least.  The groom became overwhelmed when it came time for him to "repeat after me" the vows.  I am sure the rain and being married for the first time at 50 years had a lot to do with his feelings at the moment.  I left under the uncertainty of whatever happened next.  I was not sure where the food or reception area was and I had no time to find ...

Thumper + Brenda

Once in a while I am honored to perform a ceremony for my friends.  Thumper and Brenda are from a fun parade group I belong to - The Banana Bike Brigade .  They had their ceremony among family and friends at the beautiful Bee Tree Park - a St. Louis County Park. Brenda + Thumper Bee Tree Park  This was a second marriage for both of them and the wedding party consisted of close family and friends.  No fancy wedding attire was needed for them.  I enjoyed the flower bouquet aisle runner and Thumper's top hat made the occasion whimsical in a way. They now live happily ever after on a house boat out west.  Two years later I performed a ceremony for Brenda's daughter and she now is a grandmother.  The blessings continue and watching them bloom is the best part of my job. Many blessings Brenda and Thumper !!!

I emailed Carolyn and let her know we were unsure and she took care of it. We had our wedding at Walker Park (Carolyn's suggestion) and it was a beautiful little place.  And the words she had picked out for us were fantastic and went perfectly with us. If you live near Saint Louis, you should definitely check her out. Nami + Ken Melissa and Jacob Brandi + Beau Amy + Dale Katherine + Jason Sarah + Brandon Helen + Carey ...

Real Wedding of Jamie and Ted

Jamie and Ted were married at St. Ferdinand Park in Florissant, MO.  Jamie and Ted were a joy to work with.  The park has a beautiful gazebo overlooking a pond.  The park is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. St Ferdinand Park in Florissant The wedding party was formal and the bridesmaids processed down the sidewalk along the pond to ceremony music.  Guests stood around the outside of the gazebo while myself and the wedding party stood inside for shade - it was hot!  I was able to make them laugh as they were a little nervous. The occasion was a delight and I was happy to be a part of it. The park is located at 25 St Ferdinand Park Drive in Florissant MO 63031
