Leap Day Ceremony

Can you imagine celebrating your wedding anniversary every four years? Your next anniversary will be in 2020!

Leap years are notably excellent for beginning important undertakings. The choice is deemed particularly astute in that greater LUCK will attach to all that is begun on that day.

According to an old Irish legend, or possibly history, St Brigid struck a deal with St Patrick to allow women to propose to men – and not just the other way around – every four years. This is believed to have been introduced to balance the traditional roles of men and women in a similar way to how Leap Day balances the calendar.

How Formal Is Your Wedding?
